Technology and Feminist Practice: Gender Violence Prevention Tools

How can we best develop and use technology in ways consistent with intersectional feminist principles and practices? This course uses intersectional feminist frameworks to examine still-evolving practices in data science and the digital humanities and to propose strategies that promote inclusive, ethical, and socially just approaches to data collection, data visualization, and problem-solving. Class readings and discussions will be supplemented by lab sessions that focus on skill-building in digital project construction. Graduate students by permission of instructor.
